Day  1                 Bangkok - Chiang Mai
Arrive Suvarnabhumi Airport . You will be met and transferred from the Airport to Railway Station for the  overnight train to Chiang Mai (Special Express) Overnight on Train                                                    

 

Day  2                   Chiang Mai
In the morning arrive at Chiang Mai Railway Station where you will be met and transferred to Hotel to drop luggage before sightseeing. Please note, check in is 14:00 hrs.  Sightseeing to include: Doi Suthep Temple situated on a mountain top (3500 feet above sea level) with holy relics of Lord Buddha kept inside the pagoda.  After lunch visit some home industries in Sankhampang village famous for its Thai Silk and cotton weaving. Then see the colorful paper and parasol markets of Borsarng, lacquer ware, teak carving and silverware craftsmen at work.  Return to hotel  and at leisure

 

Day  3               Chiang Mai   
Breakfast at the hotel, then morning sightseeing to include: The 700 year old Wat Chaigmun, the oldest temple within the city walls, What Pra Singh (A.D. 1345) with its 1500 year old Buddha image and Wat Suandok (A.D. 1371). Drive through the northern capital passing through residential areas, notable foreign establishments and the famous Varoros Market.  In the evening enjoy the superb traditional Northern Thai Khan-Toke dinner with charming Fon-Lep (Finger dance), Sword Dance; Fon Tien (Candle dance)  and Ramwong at the Old Culture Thai Restaurant followed by a hill tribe show.

 

Day  4             Chiang Mai – Chiang Rai 
After breakfast at the hotel, at approximately 0900 drive to Chiang Rai  
(Approximate: 4 hours drive). On arrival in Chiang Rai, relax at leisure

 

Day  5              Chiang Rai
Today enjoy an excursion to a hill tribes and and elephant camp. After breakfast transfer to the long tail boat pier and then take a boat ride down The Mae Kok River and observe river life. On arrival at a Karen Hill tribe village, you will see the elephant camp.  Enjoy a ride through the jungle, passing through paddy fields and along rivers. Ride about 2 hours to a Yao Hill tribe village for lunch. Afterwards visit the Yao & Akha Hill tribes with their own culture and customs. Take a hike to a waterfall, and relish a nice cool dip. Then  start the return journey back to the hotel, on the way, stop by the Chiang Rai Handicraft center.  Remainder of day at leisure

 

Day  6               Chiang Rai  
Breakfast at the hotel and day at leisure.           

 

Day  7              Chiang Rai – Bangkok – Hua Hin 
After Breakfast at the hotel transfer to Chiang Rai Airport

for flight to Bangkok ETD 10.35-11.55 . On arrival at Bangkok 

Suvarnabhumi Airport, drive to Hua Hin  (approximately

4-6 hours drive from Bangkok depending on choice of resort)

 

Day  8             Hua Hin   
At leisure on the beach.

 

Day  9            Hua Hin 
At leisure on the beach.

 

Day  10         Hua Hin  -  Bangkok
After breakfast at hotel, drive back to Bangkok.  In the afternoon take a sightseeing tour of Bangkok and see the Grand Palace, Coronation Hall and the holiest of the Thai Temples “The Emerald Buddha Temple"(Wat Phra Kaew). Founded in 1782, the Grand Palace, is still the official seat of the King's power and ceremonial occasions are celebrated here. The tour of the palace will include an introduction to the distinctive styles of the different halls and pavilions, which reflect the disparate Influences, the Thais have come into contact with.  You will also have the chance to visit the Emerald Buddha - the symbol of the regency. Return to Hotel, and at leisure

 

Day  11           Bangkok - Kanchanaburi
After breakfast drive to Kanchanaburi. Enroute visit   
·         Kwai and Death Railway /Jeath War Museum /Kanchanaburi War Cemetery  
·         Lunch at local restaurant before going to the Tiger Temple.
Then enjoy an experience of a lifetime at Tiger Temple.  Eventually make way back to Bangkok and overnight.

 

Day  12            Bangkok departure
At leisure until time to transfer to airport for departure flight
